Dear Zeon,
You've been handfull today. You wanted to be in my arms at all times. You are three months old now and at least twenty pounds. It's not as easy to say the least. I love every minute of it though. When it gets tiring, I remind myself that one day you won't want me to carry you anymore. If you are anything like I was, you'll be dressing yourself by four and want to go sleep over people's houses by six. I dread those days, though I know it means I have been blessed with a healthy growing baby, it also means you will be grown up before I know it.
Last night, when we passed by all those teenagers and young boys hanging out at the mall, I wondered what group you would belong too. Would you be a pretty boy, or a skater, or a rocker, rapper, reaggaeton guy? Or would you be an artist or a gothic kid? Only time will tell.
You are so beautiful to me. You are sleeping behind me as we sleep, wrapped in a warm, green, fuzzy blanket that was a baby shower gift. You have a yellow pacifier in your mouth and the most serene expression on your face. You know you're safe. Safe with mommy and daddy and your brother Omar in our little townhouse in Hialeah. I wish the world for you my little son. I love you dearly.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Zeon,
Today you went to your first movie at a movie theater. We went to Cobb Theaters in Dolphin Mall and saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs with your brother Omar. Your father couldn"t go because we he was doing an event at Churchill's Pub called Colossal to pay for our trip to Disney next week for his and your brother's birthday. It will be your first time going.
You had a good time as did everybody else. You wore a grey hoody with a blue peace sign that my boss Yelian gave you. You watched as much as you can before you knocked out at about 9pm as you usually do. You were so adorable. I sat you on my lap for most of the movie.
When we left the theater to go home it was almost 11pm. All the teenagers were out as were many other parents with children. I couldn't help but wonder if one day you would be among the young throngs of insecure young adulthood that surrounded us or if a newer, cooler place would be blessed with your presence in that far future.
I love you very much and can only hope you grow up to be a good upstanding man.
God Bless You Zeon.
Love,
Mommy

Dear Zeon,
This weekend we took you to your Grandma Narda's house in Avon Park, FL. You pretty cried the whole time we were there. It looks like you inherited your momy's shyness. I was hoping you would be more like your daddy. He is a social butterfly. I hope you grow out of it when you're an adult. It's good that you're shy now. It means you'll stay away from strangers. That saved your mommy more than once.
It's the last long weekend of the summer. It's beautiful here in miami. You're with your other grandma now. You haven't cried once since yoiu got here. All I know is that when we pulled into your Aunt Elen's house you got freaked out by the party that was going on. All the loud Salsa and Michael Jackson tribute music (your uncle MJ is a Michael Jackson freak) made you uneasy and all the new faces made you scared. You only took to your cousin Jojo and her husband Kyle. My poor baby. It was peaceful at Grandma's though. You slept good.
I love you my little pumpkin.
Take care.
Love, Mommy.
